When I speak at client events for financial professionals – every single event is different – tailored to the audience demographic each firm has. That said, each client event ends the same way, with me asking the audience to consider the question “Was it all worth it?”. It’s the most important question we are likely to ever ask ourselves. Was it worth doing uncomfortable things? Was it worth changing one’s behaviour? Was it worth following a financial plan? Was it worth setting goals? Was it worth working with/building a relationship with a financial professional? You’ll hear me discussing this concept at a recent client event and after recent events in my personal life, I have a whole new appreciation for the question. I hope you enjoy it, and as always, “thank you” for listening (questions and podcast ideas always welcome!)

Sorry for your loss, Robert. Your stories and advice in these podcasts, are truly inspiring. building the right plan for our clients is the biggest challenge sometimes because we only get part of the story.
Thank you so much Stephen… your feedback means a lot to me.
I’m still trying to answer that question: Was it all worth it?
Great podcast
And I am so glad your mother had you for support.
I’m sorry I missed your comment Marie – thank you so much for your kind words… yes, the concept of “was it all worth it?” has taken on a larger focus over the past 18 months as many of us grapple with that concept.
