Many people are using the term “financial pornography” – I thought it might be a good idea to talk about what it is. In short – it’s the depiction of any investment/financial information, typically presented in a sensational manner to generate an intense “fin-emotional” reaction. In this episode I’m sharing a discussion of the terminology with Rob Carrick from the Globe & Mail as well as a discussion of “FinPorn” from a live “client event” recorded in Victoria, BC recently.
